Licuala grandis

Licuala grandis is a stunning solitary palm native to Vanuatu that can grow 10 to 15 feet tall. The circular, undivided palmate leaves of 'Ruffled Fan Palm'  provide a dramatic effect in a shady, well drained and protected area. The leaves have a  distinctive ruffled, pleated, fan-shape, giving it an exotic and tropical appearance. It prefers shelter from wind and sometimes suffers on our coldest winter nights, but it is otherwise easy to grow. When grown under ideal conditions, it bears spectacular long stalks of bright red fruit. Prefers bright, indirect light and moist, well-draining soil. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
